Against your targets
5 holdings have a target, 71% of the portfolio together. You have €6,400 cash at your brokers.
The mark on each bar is the target. Click a target to change it. The money is split by how far each holding is below its target, and no buy goes past one. It is a suggestion.

Switching from getquin
- Step 1
Start free and save your Recovery Key
No card needed. Save the Recovery Key when you create the workspace: we cannot read your data, so we also cannot reset a forgotten password, and the Recovery Key is the way back in. - Step 2
Import one broker at a time
A statement from the broker is the record everything else was derived from, and it is where Turbobulls has dedicated adapters: Interactive Brokers activity statements, Trading 212, DEGIRO, Coinbase, Crypto.com, Delta, eToro, Saxo, Tastytrade, Trade Republic, Avanza, Montrose, XTB, TradeVille, Investimental and Revolut, with ING Romania, Raiffeisen Romania, Salt Bank and Revolut's bank statements on the bank side. Any other broker goes through the generic CSV mapper, where you match the columns once. If getquin adds an export, that file takes the same route. - Step 3
Check it against the statement
Check the holdings against the statement before the next broker. The preview marks duplicates before anything is written, and the commit is atomic, so a bad file never leaves you half-imported.
Plan for the part that changes. In getquin, a connected broker updates your holdings on its own, daily per its help centre. Here they arrive by file, because a sync service would have to read what it fetches and our server cannot. For most portfolios that is one statement a month or a quarter. Export from Turbobulls is on every plan, free included, so nothing you bring in is trapped.
Which one fits you?
Three questions. We will say so when the answer is getquin.
Answer the three questions and a recommendation appears here.
- End-to-end
Encrypted on your device with AES-256 before it syncs. Your financial data reaches us as ciphertext.
- File imports
CSV and XLSX for IBKR, Trading 212, DEGIRO, eToro and many more, with more on the way, plus a generic mapper for any other file.
- Free plan
Permanent, no card, nothing deleted when the trial ends.
- €3.99
Investing Pro x per month billed yearly: the entry price for the investing side. The free plan needs no card and never expires, and Turbo Pro at €6.66/mo opens both sides.
Side by side
| Capability | Turbobulls | getquin |
|---|---|---|
| Where they differ | ||
| Encryption | On-device AES-256-GCM, key derived from your password. Your portfolio and wallet data is stored as ciphertext. | Not end-to-end encrypted. Its security page describes AES-256 in transit and at rest and never uses the words end-to-end, though its homepage claims no one can access your data, not even getquin. |
| Getting data in | File import and manual entry. No broker connections by design, since a sync service would have to read your positions. | API connections to brokers and banks, unlimited on the Free tier, plus CSV, PDF statements and manual entry. |
| Community | A public forum for questions and ideas, where nobody sees another member’s holdings. No social feed of portfolios, and none possible: end-to-end encryption means the server cannot read what one would have to show. | The headline feature: follow other investors, see their portfolios and discuss stocks, plus a magazine and news in its forums. |
| Expenses and budgeting | Spending, categories, savings rate, salary and net worth beside the portfolio, plus envelope budgeting, all inside the encrypted account. | Covers this ground too: income and expenses with automatic categorisation, cash flow, budgets with spending limits and net worth. Cash flow analysis is a Premium feature. |
| Return metrics | ROI, money-weighted return (MWR) and time-weighted return (TWR), all on every plan, free included. | IRR (money-weighted) and TTWROR (time-weighted) as separate metrics, on its paid tiers. |
| Analytics | Growth and return figures on every plan, risk and efficiency figures on paid, historical snapshots, and benchmarking against any ETF, stock or basket. | Markets AI-powered portfolio analysis and risk ratings, plus exposure across countries, sectors, currencies and asset classes. |
| Dividends | Income by month with a calendar, declared but unpaid included, withholding tax per payment. Full calendar, yields and the payments expected over the next 12 months on paid; free keeps the last three months. | Markets a dividend tracker showing upcoming payments, with dividend KPIs and forecasting on Premium. |
| Mobile | An installable web app (PWA) on iOS, Android and desktop, which works offline. | Native iOS and Android apps, plus the web app in a browser. |
| Pricing | Turbo Pro at €6.66/mo billed yearly, or €7.99/mo, lifts every cap and opens every section. Investing Pro at €3.99/mo billed yearly opens the investing side and leaves spending at free-plan depth; Spending Pro at €2.99/mo does the reverse. | Free, Premium at €89.99 a year and Wealth at €149.99 a year, before country-specific taxes. A monthly Premium option is sold through the app stores. |
| Where they agree | ||
| Portfolio basics | Multi-currency, multi-broker, multi-account, with benchmarking and performance analytics. | The same ground. Benchmarking on Premium, and all totals converted to a currency you choose. |
| EU footing | Made in Bucharest, Romania. Your data is stored and processed in the EU, in Frankfurt. | Berlin, Germany. States its data is stored on servers in Germany and Europe. |
| A free tier | Yes, permanently. After the 14-day trial the account stays free, capped but never deleted, no card. | Yes. A Free tier with unlimited bank and broker connections, under Premium and Wealth. |
The Turbobulls column describes Turbo Pro, the plan that opens both sides. Spending Pro and Investing Pro open one side each and leave the other exactly at free-plan depth. The free plan is capped and keeps a working slice of each paid section. Everything in the getquin column comes from its own pages, read in September 2026, and every negative rests on what those pages say; they are listed in the footer. getquin may have changed since this was compiled. Its own pricing and documentation pages are the authoritative source.
14 days of everything, no card. If you never pay, you keep a free plan that never expires, and nothing is deleted.
Is getquin safe? What it publishes about your data
Encryption: strong, and not end-to-end
getquingetquin’s security page says your data is “protected using advanced encryption technologies (AES-256), both during transmission and at rest”, and its homepage says that “with state-of-the-art encryption, no one can access your data - not even us”. Taken on its own that is a good standard, better than plenty of trackers manage.
getquinIt is not end-to-end encrypted, and the ground for saying so is what getquin describes rather than anything it leaves out. Encryption in transit and at rest is encryption the service applies and can therefore undo; no getquin page describes a key that only you hold; and the three features it is built around settle it in the same direction. A feed that shows other members your holdings, an AI agent that in getquin’s own words “knows your data”, and a broker sync that refreshes your positions daily all need data the platform can read.
That is not an accusation, and it should not be read as one. getquin has never said it reads user portfolios, and we have no evidence that anyone there does. The difference is what the guarantee rests on. getquin’s rests on its policies, its staff and its access controls. Ours rests on a key that never leaves your device, which is why we phrase it as cannot rather than will not.
Where it sits, and where some of it goes
getquinIts security page: “Your data is stored exclusively on servers in Germany and Europe”. Its privacy policy, dated 12 March 2026: “The platform is hosted in the EU.”
getquinThe same policy is candid about two exceptions, in its own words. Of its Segment analytics: “The data is stored on Segment servers in the USA”, adding that the level of data protection there “is not the same as that which exists in the European Union” and that access by authorities “cannot be ruled out”. It also records that Segment runs only after explicit consent, which you can withdraw. Of its chatbot: “Your data may also be processed in countries outside the European Union”. No hosting provider is named on any page we read.
TurbobullsOn our side: your data is stored and processed in the EU. The database and the app both run in Frankfurt, price sync in Belgium, analytics and error reporting in the EU. Payments go through Stripe and email through Resend, both US companies, so the honest claim is about your data rather than about every piece of infrastructure we touch.
Connections mean credentials, somewhere
getquinUnlimited bank and broker connections sit on getquin’s free tier, and for many people that is the reason to pick it. Its privacy policy names the aggregators behind them: finAPI, Plaid, Flanks and SnapTrade. Of SnapTrade it says the service “collects and securely stores the login credentials (such as username and password) that you share”, and that this “is never stored by or disclosed to us”.
getquinRead that as the safeguard it is: your broker login sits with the aggregator rather than with getquin. What the aggregator hands back is the separate question. Positions and transactions arrive in a form getquin can process, because a daily sync, an allocation breakdown and an AI answer about your portfolio all need them that way.
TurbobullsTurbobulls has no connection of that kind anywhere in the path. Data arrives by file import or by hand, so there is no credential to hold and nothing readable to fetch. That is the trade, and the cost of it is real: you upload a statement instead of watching it appear.
Getting your data back out
getquinThis one is a plain no, and it is getquin’s own statement of it rather than our inference. Its help centre article “CSV Export of your Portfolio”, last updated 30 August 2023 and still live in September 2026, says: “getquin does not currently offer an export of your portfolio or securities account from the app or webapp.” Its privacy policy grants the statutory GDPR portability right, which is a legal route rather than a button in the product.
TurbobullsTurbobulls exports to CSV and Excel on every plan, free included, and export is never behind a paywall. Nothing is deleted when the trial ends or a subscription lapses; the account lands on the free plan and the data stays.
And what we can still see
TurbobullsYour portfolio and wallet data is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM, under a key derived from your password, before it is sent. What our database holds is ciphertext, so we cannot read your holdings, your transactions or your balances.
TurbobullsWhat is not encrypted, because a service has to function: your email address, and the type and timestamp of each record. We can see that an account added a transaction on Tuesday. We cannot see what it was, what it cost or what it is worth. Analytics are explicit events only inside the app, with no autocapture, no session recording, no advertising trackers and nothing sold.
How the encryption works, in full, including the part where losing both your password and your Recovery Key means we cannot get you back in.
The long version
Two different approaches to portfolio tracking
getquin, operated by QUIN Technologies GmbH in Berlin, is a portfolio tracker whose homepage cites more than 500k users. Per its public materials it tracks stocks, ETFs, commodities, art, collectibles and real estate among more than 800k assets, offers community features that let you follow other investors and see their portfolios, and connects to brokers and bank accounts by API. As checked in September 2026 it also markets net worth tracking, an income and spending breakdown with budgets, AI-powered portfolio analysis on Premium and AI financial agents on Wealth.
Turbobulls is a privacy-first tracker built on end-to-end encryption. Data is encrypted on your device before it reaches the server, so the platform is designed not to be able to read your holdings or transactions. Beyond investments it tracks your wallet, bank accounts, salary, expenses and income, and offers money-weighted and time-weighted return, historical snapshots and retroactive split handling.
Both convert a portfolio to one base currency and benchmark it against the market. Where they diverge is privacy architecture, which return metrics come free, how data gets in, and whether there is a community at all. Those four are not independent of each other, which is the point of the next tab.
How each platform handles your data
getquingetquin’s security page states AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest and data stored on servers in Germany and Europe; its homepage and AI page add that, with its encryption, no one can access your data, not even getquin. Its privacy policy says the platform is hosted in the EU, names finAPI, Plaid, Flanks and SnapTrade among the services it uses to connect accounts, and adds that data handled by its Segment analytics service is stored on Segment servers in the USA and that data may be processed outside the EU when you use its chatbot. It is not end-to-end encrypted: no getquin page describes a key that only you hold. Its community feed shows shared portfolios to other members, its AI agent, in its words, knows your data, and its broker sync updates holdings daily. Those are features that work on portfolio data, which is the sense in which we call it a server-side model. For full detail, its privacy policy and security page are the authoritative sources.
TurbobullsTurbobulls uses end-to-end encryption, which is a different model rather than a stronger version of the same one. Data is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM under a key derived from your password using PBKDF2, before anything leaves. The trade is real and runs in both directions: end-to-end encryption rules out a server-mediated social feed, AI analysis of your holdings, and broker auto-sync, because none of those can work on data the platform cannot read.
Both companies are EU-based and subject to GDPR. On analytics, Turbobulls records explicit events only within the app: no autocapture, no session recording, no advertising trackers, and nothing sold. See exactly how the encryption works, including what we can still see.
- AES-256-GCM on device encryption, PBKDF2 key derivation
- Per-workspace keys, recovery key available
- No broker connections anywhere in the path
- Export on every plan, never paywalled
- AES-256 in transit and at rest; data on servers in Germany and Europe, per its security page
- Platform hosted in the EU, per its privacy policy
- Broker and bank sync by API for the providers it supports
- Not end-to-end encrypted: AES-256 in transit and at rest, per its security page
Community and social, where getquin is positioned
This is the area getquin is positioned around. Per its stock-forum page, you can follow experienced investors, traders or friends, see thousands of other members’ portfolios, post your own for feedback and discuss stocks with other members. If you share your portfolio, others see the names of the stocks, funds or ETFs you buy but not the amounts, per the same page. For investors who value social learning, that is a real draw.
getquin also publishes educational articles and guides in its magazine, and its forums surface breaking news, earnings and other market-moving events. For newer investors, having a community and educational material next to the tracker can be worth something.
Turbobulls has no social feed and no way to share your portfolio or follow anyone else’s, and will not. That is not a roadmap gap: each of those requires the platform to be able to read portfolio data, and Turbobulls is built so it cannot. If sharing and following are what you want, getquin is positioned to offer them and we are not.
What we do have is the Turbobulls Community, a discussion forum for questions and ideas about using the app and about investing. Anyone can read it, and posting needs a Turbobulls account. It is not portfolio sharing: nobody there sees another member’s holdings. Forum posts are public and not encrypted, while the tracker itself stays a solo tool for people who want to track and analyse privately.
Analytics and performance metrics
getquin markets an internal rate of return (IRR) and a true time-weighted return (TTWROR) as separate metrics on its paid tiers (its help centre limits IRR to Premium and Wealth and lists TTWROR among Premium features), along with AI-powered portfolio analysis and risk ratings, and exposure across countries, sectors, currencies and asset classes. That is a solid analytical toolkit, and the AI part is something Turbobulls has no equivalent of.
Turbobulls puts the same pair of return metrics on every plan. On top of ROI it offers both money-weighted return and time-weighted return, free included. MWR reflects the return you actually earned given when you added or withdrew money; TWR isolates the portfolio’s own performance from your cash-flow timing. Having both gives a fuller picture, and conflating them is a common mistake in retail self-evaluation. Behind those sits the Overview’s All figures card: its growth and return figures, wealth velocity, growth rate (CAGR) and time-weighted return among them, are on every plan. Paying for the investing side opens the risk and efficiency figures, among them the Sharpe ratio, maximum drawdown, return volatility and MOIC.
Allocation by asset type, broker, currency and tag is on every plan; sector, industry, country and region are paid. Holdings are classified by instrument, so a fund counts where the fund itself is domiciled rather than distributed across what it holds. Benchmarking runs against any ETF, stock or basket you add, with one benchmark on free and no limit on paid, and historical snapshots let you view the portfolio as it stood on any date.
Expenses, budgeting and net worth
Turbobulls tracks spending with categories and tags, cash accounts, debt, salary and savings rate alongside the portfolio, and reports net worth across all of it, with a financial independence projection on top. Budgeting is envelope-based: each month you assign the money you actually have to categories and watch what is left, unspent money rolls over, and overspending comes out of next month’s pool, so the budget stays tied to real cash.
getquin covers this ground as well. As checked in September 2026, its cashflow page markets income and expenses with automatic categorisation, monthly cash flow, budgets with spending limits, net worth tracking and connections to bank accounts alongside brokers, and its help centre lists cash flow analysis among Premium features. So the difference is not that one of us tracks spending or budgets and the other does not. It is the method: Turbobulls uses envelope budgeting, where you assign the cash you actually have to categories and unspent money rolls over. And all of it sits inside an account the server cannot read.
For anyone who wants only the investing side, that breadth is capability they will not use, and it is worth knowing before signing up. Investing Pro is the plan for exactly that reader: it opens the investing side in full and leaves the spending side exactly at free-plan depth, so nobody pays for the half they skip. On the free plan budgeting is read-only, and the caps include one workspace, three accounts, ten holdings, two brokers, 50 portfolio transactions, 120 wallet transactions and one benchmark.
Getting your data in
This is the clearest practical trade between the two. getquin markets automatic sync for the brokers it lists as supported; Turbobulls has none, and that follows from the encryption rather than being a feature that has not shipped. Auto-sync in the form most trackers offer it needs a service, the tracker or an aggregator working for it, to hold working credentials and read the transactions it fetches. Turbobulls took the other side of that trade, and file import is the cost of it. It is a real cost and worth weighing.
Turbobulls ships CSV and XLSX adapters, among them Interactive Brokers activity statements, Trading 212, DEGIRO, eToro, Revolut, ING Romania and many more, with more on the way, plus generic CSV with manual mapping. You pick the broker and upload the file, and if the file does not match the adapter you picked, the app points you at the one it does match. The import preview flags duplicates before anything is written, and the commit is atomic: an import either lands in full or not at all. CSV and Excel export are available on every plan.
getquin’s help centre states it does not currently offer an export of your portfolio from its app or web app, so start from your broker statements rather than from getquin. If it adds an export, that file takes the generic CSV route, which also covers any broker without a dedicated adapter.
Where each one is weaker
- No automatic broker sync, and none possible under the encryption model
- No social feed or portfolio sharing, for the same reason
- No AI-assisted analysis of your holdings
- An installable web app rather than a native one
- The free plan is genuinely capped: 10 holdings, 3 accounts, 2 brokers
- Not end-to-end encrypted; its security page states AES-256 in transit and at rest, while its homepage claims no one can access your data
- Its AI agent, in its words, knows your data, and a shared portfolio shows other members your stock names: features that work on your portfolio data
- IRR limited to Premium and Wealth per its help centre, which lists TTWROR among Premium features too, as does its portfolio-tracker page
- No export of your portfolio from its app or web app, per its help centre
- A view of the holdings as they stood on a chosen past date is not described in its public materials as of September 2026
Checked against getquin’s own pages in September 2026. Its documentation is the authority.
