End-to-end encrypted

Who can see your spending?

Only you. It is encrypted on your device before it is saved, so we cannot read it, on any plan.

Encrypted on your device, before it is saved

Your data is encrypted in your browser with AES‑256 and stored on our servers as ciphertext. The key opens only with your workspace password or its recovery key, and the password never leaves your device.
  • Each workspace has its own keys
  • Files, not logins: we never ask for your bank or broker password
  • Paid for by subscriptions: no ads, no advertising trackers in the app, no data sales

How your data is protected
What is encrypted, what is not, and what the password and the recovery key do.
On this device

Your portfolio and wallet data is encrypted in this browser, with AES-256, before it is saved. The key opens only with your workspace password or its recovery key.

On our side

We store that data as ciphertext and cannot read it. What stays readable is your email address, and the type and time of each record.

Changing the password

It asks for the current password or the recovery key first. The key is then wrapped again under the new password, so nothing has to be uploaded again. A new recovery key replaces the old one.

The recovery key

The only way back in if the password is lost. We cannot reset it for you. A new one can be made with your current password; the old one then stops working.
